Lastly, we have an English song written sometime in the early 1700s. It became incredibly popular in the reign of Queen Anne, but it was also known under King George I as “A Health to The King”, which inspired our slight lyric change in the final round of choruses. The “dead men” in particular can obviously reference fallen comrades, but it is also an old slang term for discarded empty bottles.
